Liz Burnet

Liz Burnet is a 23-year-old emerging artist from Amelia Island, Florida. From a young age, she’s always been captivated by creating, whether it was leaving colorful paint marks on her parents’ floors during craft sessions or turning everyday moments into little works of art—her creativity has always found a way to shine through, eventually leading her to become a painter. Liz’s work is multifaceted, but she feels especially connected to her abstract pieces, which explore the complexity of emotion and individuality. Each layer tells its own story: vibrant colors clash and converge, bold strokes compete with soft washes, and structured shapes push against the fluidity of organic movement. The final piece becomes a visual narrative, inviting the viewer to uncover a sense of self amidst the chaos. Her artistic process often combines acrylic paints, oil sticks, pastels, and charcoal, reflecting her experimental and tactile approach. Liz takes pride in being self-taught, appreciating the freedom it gives her to explore and experiment with her art on her own terms. When she’s not painting in her studio in the heart of downtown Charleston, Liz can be found having fun with her girlfriends and embracing the vibrant, creative energy of the city she now calls home.
