From the artist: This painting represents the loving and watchful eye of God. It is full of specific prayers, wishes and intentions poured out on paper. I mindfully and intentionally created these Prayers in Color to comfort and remind you of the Lord's abundant love, peace, joy and hope.
Michelle Owenby’s work is rooted in her southern heritage and shaped by reflective, spiritual outpourings from her inner life. Working in a clean, minimal aesthetic, she often uses water-based mediums on paper, wood, and natural materials. Generous negative space is a hallmark of her work, reflecting her ongoing pursuit of soulful balance and attentive presence. Her work has been seen throughout the Southeast, collected nationwide, and licensed in worldwide markets. Her hope is that her work would encourage and nourish hopeful souls longing for a simple, illuminated life marked by joy, peace, freedom, meaning, and love.
